The Hanabi Festival is on in Japan right now. What does that have to concern with you? Well, as part of a very-limited time offer, and because its Super Mario Bros 22nd anniversary (where did the years go?), you can now download Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels game for your Wii!!
Why is this game so special? Because this is the first time this game has ever been released to Europe, a large gaming before. Before this, these games were only available for USA and Japan. This game opens a big possibility of more games coming to Europe, and the Wii market growing there too.

As we reported in this post, Nintendo announced the release of the Wii Zapper for November 19th. Well, that same zapper has parents everywhere pulling the alarm. Thousands of complaints are being recieved from thousands of sites from parents, telling them how bad the Wii Zapper is for their children, and from children around the world.
Here are some sample comments for your enjoyment. Feel free to comment how you feel about this issue below.
“Great, this is what we need. Children with guns learning how to aim and shoot. Then we can sit back and wonder what is happening to our country with kids killing kids……what’s next? Could we make it squirt blood, too?”

The most played Wii game is easy to choose. Its not like other consoles, where gamers battle it out to say which one is the best. Its obvious in the Wii, because its the game that every has had or has. That game, is Wii Sports.
A smashing sucesss, this game gave game companies around the world green eyes, including EA. If this game had been capitalized to its full potential, sold instead of given for free, it would have made millions of dollars. Unfortunatly, spokespeople from Nintendo said this today:

The Wii has done it again! It has passed the total sales of Microsoft’s Xbox 360! This is great! Why, you might ask? Because the Xbox 360 had a 1 year lead over the Wii in sales, and it was still not enough to stop the Wii’s growth. This leaves the poor PS3 in ruins, as it never had a chance. This is us Wii owner’s chance to say “In your face Microsoft and Sony, in your face!”.
This once again truly proves my point that the people, the gamers, are choosing innovation over visual effects, gameplay over graphics, and mostly, good old fashioned family fun over hardcore gaming.

Nintendo confirmed that Link’s Crossbow Adventure, the game, and the Wii Zapper, the very-anticipated controller holder, will be coming to the Wii on November 19th, the first anniversary of the Wii. The Zapper will come bundled with a mini-game, called Link’s Crossbow Training, which is there to demonstrate the true power of this peripheral.
Hopefully, this Zapper will bring the Wii to new heights. With this new peripheral, we can play a whole variety of first person shooter games for the Wii in ways that the Xbox 360 and PS3 gamers can’t even think of. With this newfound capability, will come an influx of gamers, which hopefully means that more games will be created for the Wii.

Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, has confirmed that online capability will be available when the game comes out for the Wii. There was some doubt earlier as to whether or not the game would contain the web gaming capability like it will on the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3.
This is great for all fans of the revolutionary music game that lets gamers play guitar in tune to famous songs and melodies. Its also great for all fans of the Wii, as this means that we can expect the same features that are offered to the different game consoles, which means the Wii will not be left behind.

System 3, the company that is creating the game Ferrari Challenge for the Wii and the DS, has released some screenshots of their well-anticipated game. This game promises “the most accurate motion-sensing steering yet seen on the revolutionary console.”. These screenshots are well, average looking, since the wii doesn’t have the world’s best graphics.
Hopefully, like all other games wii, the gameplay will make up for the poor graphics. Another great thing about this game is that if it delivers what it promises, an advanced steering sensor, that it will solve many of the problems that were present in past racing games for the Wii.

Believe it or not, a hospital in Minneapolis is using the Wii as part of a program to rehabilitate stroke patients. The Wii, they believe, will help the patients regain some of their everyday functions that were lost. This is possible through the Wii’s advanced motion controller.
It’s great to see that the Wii is not only helping charities, but its also helping the sick patients to regain what they’ve lost. This is probably the only game console that is helping so many people and making so many people’s day. From kids to seniors, the Wii was designed as a universal game system, and it still fulfills that need, even if its not in the original aspect.

That’s right! Now you can do what you love, playing the wii, and still help the homeless! A company called Garden Court Condominiums in Detroit is hosting a Wii tournament, where gamers will battle it out to beat each other in tennis, boxing, golf, and baseball. The company collects money for charity by charging $10 per contestant and $3 per spectator.
This will be one true test of the Wii, and we will see how many people are willing to pay to come play and watch the wii in action. If this is a smashing success, who knows, the Wii Tournament might be coming to a town near you.

According to some new statistics released by Nintendo and Sony, the once large gap between the Wii and PS3 is now shrinking. The Wii, as we all know, was leading in sales since it first came out, but now the PS3’s sales are speeding up, and it is quickly catching up to the Wii.
Market analysts say that if the PS3 continues to climb at this rate, it will soon overtake the Wii. This kind of comeback has only been witnessed before in the story of the Nintendo DS and Sony PSP, in which the Sony PSP was leading until the DS came back and won fans over.

This Sims has dramatically increased the users responsibility they have during the game. The Sims used to be about building up your house, then your family… and occasionally greating the locals. Now, MySims has got you designing individual parts in your house, from exactly what your house members look like and wear, to table furniture, to jukeboxes. And if you think you’ve got your hands full with that, then you won’t want to know what your main job is.
